Columbia MultiSport will pay their members way! It's $35 dollars to join

Columbia multisport pays for how much of their members' trip? Any members, even ones who have just joined starting in 2008? That's a pretty sweet deal, but it would be nice to get Rolla on the map!

That's pretty sweet deal! I wonder if we could go with their club (ie, join and compete for them) but as RMC as well. Something like Columbia Multisport in conjunction with RMC. That way only those from RMC who are interested could join CMC, but then RMC is getting our name out. Thoughts?

I'm sure if you went with Columbia MultiSport you would wear their colors and compete for them. No one can represent two clubs at nationals. If they paid all your alligence would need to be with them for nationals.

Of course if they are paying, then that implies competing for their club. I am just looking to find a way to get Rolla's name out there too. Not necessarily having RMC compete but just get RMC involved in some way.

The Nationals were in Colorado for 3 years 2002-03-04 then Texas 05 then las Vegas 06 Missouri in 2007. It will be held in Las Vegas in 2008. Last year in Missouri we would have had a good chance of winning the 25 and under club division. Maybe it will come back this way

So what is the general consensus for 2008 Nationals? Find out what exactly CMC will pay as far as travel costs for their members?

I don't feel we should join for a free trip. I do feel that if we want to be part of a great club who has a lot of knowledge to share, group events, people to race with, and MUCH more then we should join. If they are also paying for a trip and we have a chance to be part of a national championship thats even better

I think I will go and compete for CMC; I like the fact that they pay your way

I agree with Dennis. CMC is a great club that has a very large number of members. With that comes knowledge to share, group events, people to race with, etc. I hope everyone shares that same common goal for RMC. Yes, we are a small club still in our infancy stage and it will be safe to say that we will never reach the membership numbers of CMC, but I feel we can still have the fun and socialization, just on a smaller scale. Who knows one day maybe we (RMC) can invite all the Missouri Tri Club's to race right here in Rolla.
